This building is located on the south coast of Zayandehrood River, 18 km east of Isfahan and with similar specimens as Kaj Mosque and Ezran mosque and in the same area. Its construction date back to the eighth century AH.

According to the researches, the map of the mosque has a simple square room with an internal dimension of 10*10 meters and an external dimension of 14*14 meters. In front of the building, you can visit a ruined porch with a width of 10 meters and a current depth of 4.5 meters.

The square-shaped room of the mosque in the east, west and north has a wide arched doorway and in the south, a brick altar. The square design of the dome with eight large arches at the bottom and sixteen small arches at the top has become parallel circles. In the main body of the dome, in addition to the windows, there is also a place for timber.

In the past, on the north side of the building, there were minarets that had disappeared by passing time. Also, in one of the northern corners of the building, there is a spiral staircase, and in the two southern corners of the building, there is space a couple of more staircase.

In various parts of the building, including cornering, timber has been assisted. The building lacks many inscriptions and decorations, and because of its other features, it seems that its construction has never been completely finished for unknown reasons. The only decorations available are brickwork and a little tile work on the south porch of the mosque. The building of the mosque in the past had a courtyard and attachments that were all destroyed.

Wilbur talks about how the building was built: “The building story can be understood through special events. At the peak of Ilkhani power. It has been decided to build several villages and settlements near Isfahan and beside Zayandehrood River. At least three construction sites were started. First, the mosque, which forms the central core of the village, was launched, and after several months of construction work, an accident disrupted operations, and then the construction work continued and was completed. Except that not all decorative inscriptions are made. Failure to complete the buildings may be due to local accidents or local economic situation or lack of interest in local or national affairs.”

Siro has another view on the construction of the Dashti Mosque. "Near a Seljuk mosque that was left with nothing but minaret the construction of this building started.” Smith pointed to its demolition in 1915 AC; they decided to build a mosque with the same type as a pine mosque, which was placed on a flat embankment about 1.5 meters high. It did, but it never reached more than 2 to 5 meters high. They were intended to build porches on each side, but it was never built, except for a piece of cell on the west side.

Little cells in mosques and old houses in Iran were used by children or young couples. They call these rooms cell because of its construction design. A cozy room in Isfahan historical house is a popular room for couples nowadays.

The rest of the work was stopped and resumed in different steps. Much later, a small chapel leaned toward the eastern facade of mosque, the relics of the arches they had leaned on can be seen now. All of them are from Safavi era. When this interlock was made, the outer two-foot arches, which were on both sides of the Mogul-era archway, were hard-wired. As they wanted to solidify the main parts of the building under construction some other problems shaped. There is nothing more to say, but we have always been ignorant of what they had foreseen in the north side of the mosque, and we do not know whether they wanted to make the yard square or rectangular like it was in the pine before. The work stoppages is understandable by the monument. The unfinished decoration and the abandonment of the works, are all signs of a turbulent period. It is very likely that the duration of the work of these monuments, done in different stages.
