KHOFTANJA
DELUXE SUITE
Khoftanja means sleeping spot. On the west side of the first floor of Kianpour boutique hotel, there is a zemestan neshin room. This room were mostly used by elders in the family. Gathering together, storytelling nights, family meeting, dining and this sort of activities took place in this room. If a family had young children, they used to live and sleep in this room too.
The architecture of this room is fabulous. On the east side we have a room which is filled with Qajar history, however, in this room which is located on the west side of the house; architecture is closer to the end of Qajar era and the beginning of Pahlavi era.
When we go inside the room, we see that especial Qajar designs for roof or walls is disappearing in this room. It shows us a huge taste changing in architecture. For example the introvert architecture changed into extrovert architecture.
At the moment this room is a suite which has two conjoined separate rooms with an interior connecting door. This room has a bathroom and a toilet outside the room, which is not public and it belongs to the guest of this room. By sitting in this room you face the pond in yard or ‘Miyansara’. Orosi Room which is the larger room has three single beds and sedari room that’s the smaller room has two single beds with shared equipment and facilities.
