Amin Altojar House

A famous historical house in Isfahan is known as Amin-Al-Tojar's house.  The owner of this house was Seyyed Habibollah Amin-Al-Tojar Isfahani, who was one of the most prominent businessmen in the province. 

Except Isfahan, he has been focusing his activities towards Tehran. He has also been in contact with Tehran's political and economic regiment. Malek al-Tojar lived in Iran about 150 years ago, and his works are still alive in the big market of Isfahan.

Takht-e-Polad, Malek Street, Bandar-Abbas and Timche Malek are his souvenirs. His works are after the gates of the great bazaar. This is the home to the historic houses of Isfahan, which has been registered and is located in the ranks of the Safavia buildings until the end of the first Pahlavi era.

Isfahan Bekhradi historic house

Dehdashti House of Isfahan (Cafe Hugo)

As we said in the beginning of this text, some historic houses in Isfahan have become converted into cafes. Dehdashti's house is also one of these historic houses of Isfahan, which remained in the province from the Qajar period, and hosts the largest amount of guests during the summer. 

This house was registered as one of the national works of Iran in 2006. The other name of this historic house is Cafe Hogo. Nowadays, this historic house in Isfahan is being used as a cafe. Tourists can visit this café from 17:00-22:00

Shaykh al-Islam's historic house in Isfahan

Shaykh al-Islam's house is one of the other historic houses in Isfahan, dating back to the Qajar period, which was the gift of Shah Abbas to his daughter and his son-in-law. This house is generally the venue for religious ceremonies such as the mourning of Imam Hussein's martyrdom. Location of Shaikh-Al-Islam's house is in Sheikh al-Islam's alley, Takhti, Jamaloddin Abdul Razaq Street, Isfahan.

 Vasigh Ansari's historic house

Other historical house in Isfahan, which must be visited when you go to Isfahan, is the home of Vasigh Ansari. In fact, what distinguishes this house in comparison with other historic houses in Isfahan is its widespread use of traditional wallpaper in decorating the Shah's room.

 Its adjoining room on the western side of this house has over 45 designs that are in many sizes and colors. It is a very significant home. It is noteworthy that this house has been registered on the National Iranian Book List. We can name it the great Isfahan historic house with beautiful coloring. 

Molabashi house

Another historic house of Isfahan is Molabashi's home that dates back to the Zandyah and Qajar era. During the time of Zele-Sultan, Molabashi purchased the alley and the building. Molabashi was the astronomer of the Nasseralin Shah. 

The house was a religious institution with exterior courtyard, work room and exterior independent entrance. On the western side of the courtyard, an independent space has been allocated to the owner's business and reception desk. The location of the Molabashi home is on Malek Street. Molabashi needed a separated space because of his works. One of his jobs was that, people used to come to him and ask him different questions about their problems and so on. His second job was to observe the stars and report astronomical activities to the king.
