We have significant schools of music in Isfahan which one of which is located near a historical house accommodation in Iran; called Kianpour house. If you manage to visit Isfahan, you can book a room in Kianpour historic hotel and visit the music schools of Isfahan.
He added: The name of the school is determined based on the geography of the place and the thoughts behind that science. In science and art, we have schools that follow certain components, and each school has followers that last for more than a few generations. Isfahan has a great school in connection with music and singing.
Referring to the history of Iran, this professor said: "If we study the history of Iran, we have a written history from the Achaemenids to this side that we can cite."
In the history of Iran, we have three eras of the peak of Iran's prosperity in science, culture, and art, one of which was the Achaemenids, one of the Sassanids, and then the Parthians, and after that Iran declined for a long time. Culture and art were established and the last period of growth of Iran in culture and art was in Safavid and after that, it did not grow much and even decreased a little.
During the Safavid era, Isfahan was the capital of the Safavid kings and the center of art, science, and technology, and the roots of art, science, and technology in Isfahan reached more than 400 years, and along with the art of music, it also grew a lot.
Mansouri continued: "Even before Safavid, during the Achaemenid and Sassanid eras, Isfahan was a refuge for princes due to its centrality and security, and because princes paid attention to music, it was given great importance and became very popular." It was so important that in military parades, musicians were at the forefront of the parade. Many historic hotels are not remaining from Qajar or Safavid era. However, Kianpour historical house accommodation in Iran is a hotel that accepts guests which were built during the Qajar era. He emphasized: Isfahan Music School has been one of the largest music schools in Iran in all history.
Poetry is the most important component of music
Following the ceremony, Mansour Azami Kia, a singing teacher, and director of the Maqam Music School and a student of Master Shahzidi said: Isfahan has been a city known for its singing and music since the late Qajar era, and the architecture of Isfahan, known as frozen music, is very glorious. In Isfahan, the creators of architecture were inspired by music.
He further referred to the original music and said: singers should pay attention to two important points in their singing. One reads poetry correctly and one reads poetry correctly, which at first seem the same but are very different. Poetry is the most important component in music because if it is not poetry, the singer has nothing to read.
Explaining the two basic components, Azami Kia said: "Reading poetry correctly" means that the singer chooses a poem for his song with wisdom and wisdom and chooses a suitable glorious poem to create an attractive and popular work. In this regard, the singer's relationship with literature can help a lot. Do a lot to him.
He continued: "Reading poetry correctly" means that the poem should be read correctly so that its correct meaning can be understood. The reader must be sharp and use the axons correctly according to the meaning of the poem.
The master of singing added in this regard: In the past, in the art of calligraphy, drawings were drawn around calligraphic papers, which were called writing, and the line was written in the middle of the paper. These writings were to show the line more beautifully and were only drawn around the paper to the extent that it is eye-catching.
Azami Kia, referring to the words of Jalal al-Din Taj: "Deliver the poem first, then write it" The pillar of a song is not to be overshadowed. In Isfahan music, these two components are very much observed and singers pay a lot of attention.
At the end of the ceremony, Reza Tabatabai (student of Jalaluddin Taj Esfahani) along with Hassan Mansouri, teacher and reed player, and Sajjad Mansouri, master of Iranian percussion (Tonbak) performed live music from the poems of Master Sakha describing Isfahan.
